Engadine, Michigan

This village owes its existence to the Soo Line between Minneapolis and Sault Ste. Marie.  It is located on Michigan Highway 117, 2 miles north of U.S. Highway 2.   Engadine was once the home to a cooperage (barrel-making shop).  It was destroyed by fire in 1926 and mever re-built.  As the timber was logged, dairy farms were established around the town.
